Registration and activation of Firstbeat Life™ license

Getting started with the Firstbeat Life™ service takes a few simple steps. First you register your account, and then you activate the license. This article shows the process how to start using your Firstbeat Life service with these steps:

Register to the app

Start the registration from the Firstbeat Life app's starting page by selecting Begin registration.

In the next step you can read more about the Firstbeat Life app, methods and other information about the service, its uses and benefits. Proceed to next step by pressing the red arrow button.

Next you need to accept the Terms of service and the privacy policy. You can read the documentation by pressing the corresponding link from the app. You can also read then again from the app by going to Settings ⟶ Privacy.

Move to the next step by pressing the red arrow button.

Create your account

Next enter your email address and pick yourself a suitable password and select your birth date. Please note that the password needs to contain at least 10 characters, it needs to have both upper and lower case letters and also numbers. Don't mix your Firstbeat Life™ license code for a password! in this step you need to make up a completely new password for yourself.

You can enter the birth date once the app accepts your secure password.

Verify your email address

In the next step you need to verify your email address. The app will automatically send you the verification code that is then entered to the app. This way the app can be sure that the correct person is using it.

If the verification code is not sent to your inbox check also the junk mail folder. If the code is no there either, you can send yourself a new code by pressing Resend code link from the app.

Your Firstbeat Life™ license will be automatically activated if you used the same email for the registration and verification that was given when you signed up for the service. Usually this is the work email address. If you used some other email address, for example, your personal email address, you will need to activate your license manually by entering your license code in the next step.

Activate the license

If your Firstbeat Life™ license is not recognized automatically, the license code must be entered to the application. This must be done if the registration was done by using some other email address rather than the work email.

License code is sent to you from service@firstbeat.com to the email address which was given when you were signed up for the service. The license code contains nine characters and can contain numbers and letters. Don't mix your license code for a password! 

You can also activate your license afterwards by going to Settings ⟶ Subscriptions ⟶ Activate license. Please note that you can't order the measurement device or make any measurements until the license it activated.

Notes

Please note that currently it is not possible to use the app and device with two separate phones at the same time. 

If at some point you need to log out from the app, or the app logs you out automatically, you don't need to register again. You can simply sign in with your email address and password. The registration is done only once.
