The Firstbeat Bodyguard 3 device is charged with a separate USB-C cable.
Important! Do not charge the Firstbeat Bodyguard 3 with any other charger or cable, than the one delivered with the device. Do not charge the device while it it attached to the electrodes and skin. |
Detach the electrode cable from the measuring device. Plug in the charging cable to the device and with it plug the device to a computer USB-port.
The device is charging when a green LED light is flashing. The device is fully charged when then green LED light is burning constantly. If you can't see the green light, shadow the device with your hand, as the green light can be dim in normal daylight. You can also check the battery charge with the Firstbeat Life app. You'll also see from the app if the battery is charged enough to start the measurement.
How to start using a brand new device
When delivered the device is in factory settings, and it can't be paired to the app straight from the box. It needs to be woken up first by charging the battery a bit. After the device has been charged, it can be paired with the app. Follow these instructions to complete the pairing: Pairing Bodyguard 3 with Bluetooth connection
Important! To ensure the functionalities of the measurement device, and to avoid the battery from malfunctioning, the device battery will need to be fully charged at least every four (4) months. |
Signal light explanations while charging
LED light signals | Device status |
Flashing green light | Battery is charging normally |
Green light is on constantly | Battery has been fully charged |
Red light is on constantly | The device has malfunctioned. Remove the device from the charger and plug it in to another USB port if possible. |
If there is a red light in the device, and changing the device to another USB port for charging does not help, the device has malfunctioned. Contact Firstbeat Support for further instructions.
