You don't need to return the Firstbeat Life measurement device (Bodyguard 3) back to Firstbeat after your license has expired.

You can keep the device in your possession for possible future measurements. Broken or redundant devices can be discarded as electronic waste. Do not attempt to burn or crush the device!

Used electrodes are disposed of as household waste.
